Using the same upper design look and feel our original MAGE, we incorporated a composite lower jaw area to the Mage II to complete the unit as one solid piece and to stiffen the overall shell. The addition of a chin cup, which is similar to the ones found in masks, moves the goalies face off of the certified style cage and eliminates the slap in the face feeling after an impact to the certified style cage. Additionally, the chin drop is smaller than the ones found on masks and gives a wide-open feeling of looking through a certified style cage attached to a players helmet. The best part is that unlike a helmet and certified style cage combo, which is designed to be worn by players, the MAGE II is designed for goalies and the specific requirements of the goaltending position.Goalies who tested the MAGE II commented that the vision is incredible, that they could see everything, and that it doesn't feel like you have anything on.
